Derailed for Disaster

Foundational Christian beliefs and practices continue to be minutely scrutinised, criticised and compromised by so called liberal modern-agers from inside and outside the Church. Such a trend has resulted in radical changes being made to the Christian faith, so much so that ‘the true faith’ can no longer pass as pure Orthodox Christianity. Some time ago these changes began to creep onto the Christian stage, covertly, so as not to attract opposition by the faithful.

Are you aware of the world-wide trend to feminise Christianity? This trend is growing at an alarming rate in protestant churches, mainly in England, and ignited when preachers began using the phrase, ‘the unconditional love of God’ (A phrase that is nowhere to be found in the Bible!).

The ‘unconditional love’ phrase was the beginning of the feminising of Christianity and opened the door to the ordination of women! Edwina Sandys, granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill, sculptured a full-size, naked body, mounted on a crucifix above the alter of a Church of England cathedral in London. You ask, What’s the problem? It was a female body! That’s not all…

The following article appeared in a US newspaper on 28 April 1984: “The bronze figure of a crucified woman will be removed today from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine [USA]. But the impact of exhibiting the statue grows even if it is removed, causing strain between the dean of the cathedral and officials of his church, and drawing attention to questions of feminist theology.” There’s more!

The ‘Inclusive Bible’ was produced in March, 2009, by a main protestant denomination in the USA that refers to God as Father and Mother, and Jesus as the child of human beings… nicely changed to fit-in with feminist theology. Now, here’s the funny part: After reviewing the Inclusive Translation, a New York Times journalist remarked, “The devil must be laughing her head off!” It gets funnier. In the Inclusive Bible, the devil is the only person who is described as being ‘male’.

Friends, I’ve been slow off the mark to notice this trend. How dangerous do I see it? It’s as dangerous as conducting brain-surgery on yourself – blindfolded, in a drunken state, in a darkened room. What should we do? We should be vigilant and on guard of such diabolical trends that surface in our part of the world that are aimed at corrupting the Church.  Left unchecked, the feminising of Christianity will continue to derail for disaster many blind proponents.

Best wishes,
