Successful investigators are those who carefully look for the facts by searching for clues; listening to all witnesses… and patiently evaluating their findings. With minds wide open, they are people who are committed to doing everything in their power that they may discover the truth… more truth! Sadly, today, fewer investigators are to be found on the plains of Scripture.

Followers of Christ can benefit through seeing themselves as investigators of biblical truth. Why? Because God is Truth, and He wants to be found by every person He created (John 14:6). In the Book of Deuteronomy, God says, “But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him” (4:29). And, in the Book of Jeremiah, God says, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you”  (29:13,14)

Friends, God wants to be found by you and me, and if we want to know the absolute truth that will keep us head-n-shoulders above life’s circumstances throughout our earthly journey, safeguarding our arrival at destination-Heaven, then we must maintain a serious effort to finding Him…  to discover more of His truths! At snail-pace, listen carefully to what the Lord said to Joshua, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” (Joshua 1:7,8)., 

The Truths of God will not easily come to you like a ripe apple falling from the branch of a tree, into your laps while you are resting on the ground –  You have to climb the tree! You have to conduct a careful search… even to the tree’s furthermost height. The Bible is loaded with truth… more than you will ever need!
