The push to save our planet continues to accelerate with great speed and urgency… gaining support from an increasing number of governments of the world. Any government that does not support the drive to save Planet Earth is, or will be, politically and economically side-lined and disadvantaged.

What are your thoughts? Is global warming a real danger to the survival of our planet? If so, is there anything we can do to prevent it from being destroyed? The organisation, Job One for Humanity, says’ … “Our current global warming emergency can only be slowed and lessened at this late stage by immediately and radically reducing the human-caused burning of fossil fuels using the correct reduction targets and by reducing other critical greenhouse gases. Therefore, we hereby demand that our political leaders act today before it is too late to prevent untold suffering and even the extinction of much of humanity by mid-century!” What does God, the Creator-Controller of the Universe say about this?
 
Three thousand years ago, the prophet Isaiah announced… “Look! The Lord is about to destroy the earth and make it a vast wasteland. He devastates the surface of the earth and scatters the people… The earth will be completely emptied and looted. The Lord has spoken! (v 1) The earth mourns and dries up, and the land wastes away and withers. Even the greatest people on earth waste away.  The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive…. (vv 3-6).
 
The truth is this: The collective wisdom and might of the governments of the world cannot save our planet from any real threat for since the very moment sin entered into the world, through Adam, the Lord determined its destruction! My motivation for selecting this topic is to comfort those who live the world… those who ‘belong’ to God… saving them from alarm and distress as there is good news for them. New heavens and a new earth are being prepared right now for those who continue to believe in Jesus, the One and only Creator-Saviour of the world! Isaiah voiced God in saying, “Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and no one will even think about the old ones anymore” (65:17).

Friends, God is not interested in patching-up a dysfunctional, sin affected, unholy planet… IT HAS TO GO! IT WILL BE DESTROYED! And, my response to this is, YES, THANK YOU… the sooner the better! I’ve been ready for Paradise-Perfect for quite some time. Bring it on, Lord Jesus!
