All the ways of man are innocent in his own eyes (and he may see nothing wrong with his actions), but the Lord examines the motives and intents (of the heart and knows the truth) Prov. 16:2 Amp.
For the word of God is living and active and full of power. It is sharper than any two-edged sword…exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4:12 Amp).
I do weigh the thoughts and the intents of the heart and My scales are perfect. I examine the spirit behind your actions.
I see the struggles in each man’s heart. I know where their breaking point is and what drives each one. I so want to intervene and bring life, but I cannot unless there is permission.
That permission can come through intercession; for prayer is powerful and effective (Jam. 5:16). It can come as that one cries out to Me for help. Even at the end, when that cry comes to My ear, I hear, and I rescue.
So, do not think I do not know, for I know. I know all things, all intents, all purposes, all the issues of the heart. For yes, a man looks at the outer man, but I look at the inner man (1 Sam. 16:7).
I see it all and I long to make hearts clean. I long to wash clean the hearts that have been sullied and blackened by the events of life. A clean heart is My gift to you. My gift to those who are Mine. A clean heart and a right spirit is My gift; My work in you as you accept and take-in the power of My Son, cleansed by the washing of the Word (Eph. 5:26). This is what that means. My Son is the living Word. The Word made flesh.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us (Jn. 1:14).
He is the One who cleanses you, not only with His words but by His very indwelling in you (Jn. 17:23). He, the Word, cleanses you from the inside out.
Marian
