One of the highlights of my eight-years of ministry at Cairo, Egypt, was meeting Fredrick Omoh-John, a Nigerian national. Already a member of Maadi Community Church, Fredrick was someone who was totally committed and available to serve God.
The developing Small Groups ministry of the church is where we connected and collaborated. In no time, Fredrick stood out to me as a spiritual giant, head and shoulders above most believers. He was humble, respectful, and hungry to learn.
Within eight years, Fredrick rose in leadership at the church to the level of Zone Director, overseeing 96 small groups (approx. 960 people)! On an ordinary day, Fredrick is as good as two ‘on-fire for the Lord’ believers. That is why I nicknamed him ‘Fireball Fredrick.’
Fredrick has since married, and is blessed with three children. He is the Pastor of Destiny Kids Church International, Cairo.
I am glad to welcome his voice to Dancing on Water’s growing team of Guest Authors.
