I want you to know how loved, how accepted you are with, and in all, your complexity. You worry about your age and how long it’s taking you (to grow and mature in Me), but you know in Me there is no age. I know your age, but I don’t see your age. I see your spirit. Your spirit is alive in Me. I am the same now and forever (Heb13:8) and you are stable, set, and safe in Me.

So yes, you grow in wisdom as you age in the natural. You grow and mature. Jesus went through that process of natural growth. But in Me you are eternal. Eternal life begins the moment you give Me your life. Your spirit comes alive, and your spirit is eternal, just as you are made in My image and that is eternal. 

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is, eternal life actually begins—the believer is transformed], and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life” (Jn. 5:24 Amp).

Your earth age matters not. You are a spirit being in an earthly body and your spirit man is eternal. Yes, I know you feel frustration in this earthly body, the limitations, the aches and pains, the frustration of battling with your mind and your circumstances. But see yourself made in My image. I am Spirit and those who worship Me, worship in Spirit and Truth.

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever” (2 Cor. 4:16-18 NLT).

So, take your eyes off your earthly limitations and expectations of your age, whether young or old. See yourself as I see you, a spirit alive to Me. Your spirit is unchained from your body. It is free to follow Me and hear Me and speak My words. Do not doubt. Do not come under false fear.

And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths” (1 Cor. 2: 12-13 NLT).

You are not failing because you are so slow to ‘get it’ by your age. It is a process of becoming aware of who you are in the spirit realm. I have done it all. Remember it is finished. You don’t have to strive to achieve. You can’t fail, for I have already paid every price needing to be paid. You can rest in that. Focus on Me, take joy in Me. I take joy in you, My perfect creation.

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs” (Zeph. 3:17 NLT).
