“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” (Ps. 23:5a AMP).
I set a table before you. When you set a table for friends coming over, you like to make it look beautiful. You put on it all the things you need for the meal and the accompaniments. When I set a table for you, although I am your Lord and Master (as you have acknowledged), I serve you by setting the table. I know everything you need and not only that, I know everything you enjoy, all your favourite things.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (Jam. 1:17 NIV).
It is not only a place at the table, but a whole table for you. You are free to take, to taste, to enjoy everything set upon this table. I take pleasure in your joy at the table. I take pleasure that the enemy of your soul must watch and is powerless to touch you or anything on that table.
Healing is on that table. Peace is on that table. Light is on that table. Direction is on the table. Clarity is on the table. Forgiveness is always on the table. My plans for you are on the table. Sustenance is on the table, the strength you need for the journey and water, living water that never runs out. There is wine on that table, the fruit of the vine and gifts, always gifts.
My gifts for each one of you who comes to My table are specifically made, specifically tailored to each one of My children. Opening those gifts and putting them on is a joy for Me to watch. So come to My table and stay a while. Taste of My goodness and bask in My love for you. “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” (Ps. 34:8 NLT).
Come to the table and partake of all that I have for you. I am the table. All that is on that table is of Me and from Me. Everything you need is in Me, so come to Me and you will receive all you need for life. “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). In Me is all you need. That is why I say feed on Me. I am the bread of life. Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty” (Jn. 6:35 NIV).
