“I, the Lord, tell you this: I have decided what I will do for you. I have plans to help you to do well. I do not want to hurt you. I want to give you hope for a good life in the future” (Jeremiah 29:11 Easy English Bible).

Throughout our lives, we make our own plans. These can include making money, purchasing material items, planning our academic or future careers. But our plans are microscopic compared to the plan that God has, and always will have, for us.

You may not have known it but, from the moment you arrived in this world, God had a plan for your life. His plan may very well be far removed from what youhad in mind – complete with bumps, twisted roads, and hardships – but your faith in God creates the right path for you to follow. This plan is handmade by the Creator Himself. Our faith and trust in Him help us to follow His lead that will eventually bring us to eternal life.

So, the next time you are deciding on which road you need to take, pray that your decision will lead to victory in God for His ways are higher than yours. Isaiah quotes God as saying, “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts” (55:9 NLT).

I encourage you to have a firm believe in God and the plan He has for your life (present and future); stay strong in Him even when you are being tempted to head in all sorts of directions – for His ways are perfect in every way and He will lead you along the right path.
