Transformation is like the grub to the butterfly – via a cocoon. The process of transformation takes time and there are necessary steps for the desired outcome.
Sometimes that place of restriction in the cocoon seems unbearable and you scream to be let out of that difficult situation. But there is a work to be done in that time that you cannot see in the darkness. I see you, though you may not feel as though I do (Psalm 139:1-17 NIV).
The miracle of the transformation comes as you submit to Me;
as you accept the process and stop fighting Me.
Just as the transformation from a grub to a butterfly is a miracle, so is the transformation that happens in you as you surrender to My hand, to My will and purpose,
and not your own.
That is the process.
Your mind is renewed, made new again as you submit to My Lordship. Submission is a process, as you are so used to doing things your own way and having your own way; but once you have given your life to Me, I am on your case. I prompt you and guide you and convict you. I never force you, but I am always there for you.
”So, humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honour. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you”
(1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT).
As you spend time with Me and allow My word to penetrate your whole being, you are allowing Me to renew your thinking to be in line with My thoughts, My ways. As that happens, so then the transformation happens. I also use those situations you find difficult, even unbearably constricting, like a cocoon, to help you focus on Me.
As you come to a place of accepting My way as the best way, you will be transformed into My image.
”Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect”
(Romans 12:2 NLT).
