“What sorrow for those who drag their sins behind them with ropes made of lies, who drag wickedness behind them like a cart!” (Isaiah 5:18 NLT).

Friends, at this present time, we are witnessing the emergence of several prominent world leaders who are openly and unashamedly exercising their authority to satisfy personal ‘sinister’ agendas. Having no regard for international law, their ‘bar’ of righteousness, morality, and human regard has been set at an all-time low to facilitate cruel, heartless, self-serving practices.  No longer is evil fearful of worldwide public scrutiny!

In the Russia-Ukraine conflict, thousands upon thousands of innocent people have been slaughtered in the prosecution of an unprovoked, unlawful cause by President Putin.  Putin and the Kremlin are the creators of blatant lies, distortion, and deception… blinding innocent Russians and western observers to the truth of their evil schemes. Willing support given to the war effort by the populous has positioned Russia on a perilous pathway of unimaginable suffering, loss, and isolation from the western world. The nation’s innocent ones are like blind, compliant sheep being led to their slaughter!

There has never been a time in my life where this scope of wickedness is being openly and unashamedly practised by the powerful… behaving as if they are immune from prosecution. Vladimir Putin is the supreme ‘diabolical’ dictator of our day… brazenly flaunting his brand of conscienceless, inhumane cruelty. Most alarmingly, he is paving the way for other like-minded protégé dictators. The situation in the world today is horrific, becoming worse by the day! However, doom and gloom are not on the world’s horizon. The Lord will soon return — taking charge of the situation, He will stem the tide of wickedness and establish His Divine Rule and global righteousness.

While our earthly landscape looks hopelessly bleak, the God in whom we trust remains the Sovereign Controller of the Universe. Nothing escapes His attention. He is the sole Judge of the High Court of Heaven. He will administer divine justice to every deserving person and will grant mercy to every undeserving penitent.

Paul testified, “But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Rom. 1:18 NLT).

Jesus says, ^“That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous, throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth”(Matt. 13:49 NLT).

Hallelujah! Overt and covert wickedness has a ‘use-by’ date! The Day of Judgement is fast approaching and the righteous are safeguarded from the fiery furnace of hell!
