Living Water

Water keeps you alive. Water makes up the majority of your body. Without water you would die as every cell requires it to survive and to thrive.

I want you to imagine a living plant. Without water you see it begin to wilt, it leans over, it begins to shrivel. If you water it, you will see revival; if you do not, the colour fades and the plant will die.

So, with you, no water, no life. I say come to Me and drink. What do I mean by that? I am life. All that pertains to life, bread and water, is encompassed in Me. I am the Bread of Life as well as the Living Water.  So, I say come to Me and drink and eat and you will have life everlasting.

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35 NIV)

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:13,14 NIV)

This is spiritual food and drink. Without it you will wilt and die. You may be alive in the natural realm, but your spirit man will wilt and die. Only in Me will you find that life that brings you truly alive.

To eat and drink of Me means to spend time with Me, to sit with Me and listen to My words to you. Allow Me to fill you with My presence, My love, Myself and you will come to life.

If you do not have that time with Me, then you will begin to wilt under the pressure of relying on the food and drink given by this world. This sustains the body but not your soul.

Come to Me. I give you freely all things pertaining to life. It is My joy to give to you all I have, but you must come and receive from Me.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.” (John7:37-39 NIV)
