“I Will Always Love You”

Discovering the love of God deep down in your heart is a game-changer … are you willing to pursue the discovery?

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions neverfail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)

The bible is full of wonderful assurances that God pre-destined us and chose us to belong to Him. Before we even acknowledge Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives, He is working in the background showing us His grace in ways that we are not even aware of. This can be called “prevenient grace” … a grace that God lavishes on us before we even realise that He is showering us with His love.

Isaiah 49:1b (ESV) “The Lord called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother, He named Me.”

His love for us is forever .. it is unfailing .. it is endless .. it is without compromise.

God loves us when we are in the depths of despair; when everything around us seems to go wrong; when we feel like we’re drowning in hopelessness; and, He is there when everything is going great.

Isaiah 41: 13 (NLT)  “For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.”

How can we doubt His goodness and faithfulness to us when He says in

Ephesians 3:17,18 (NIV)And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”

We live in a fallen world where sin and lawlessness abound BUT the goodness of God cannot be disputed because of the price Jesus paid on Calvary. This is the greatest gift ever. Knowing that His love for us is constant and unchanging brings such peace .. the Hebrew word is “Shalom” and means peace, wholeness, completeness.

If you are struggling to find peace in the midst of turmoil and uncertainty, may I encourage you to meditate on the Word and take in the truth that God is holding you in the palm of His hand, Isaiah 49:16a (NLT) “See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.” As we keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, may you experience His love like never before.
