When Grief Overwhelms

We have all experienced grief in varying degrees during life’s journey, but how do we navigate these dark times and still maintain a sense of hope and peace? Today, Marian  nails these questions with answers from the one true source … the Word of God.  Ed.

Sit with Me and let Me absorb the pain. It doesn’t hurt Me. I already took it on the Cross. That was the pain and agony then. Every sin, every grief, pain and sorrow: past, present, future; I carried it for you.

“He was despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him. But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, And He has carried our sorrows and pains; yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:3-5 AMP)

The enemy of your soul is lying to you. He is pouring grief over you like a blanket and telling you this is how it is: a future of pain and loss and heartache. This is a lie. If you can see Me taking this pain; your pain and grief and sorrow on the Cross, it will set you free.

It is not yours to carry, but Satan is making you believe it is to shut you down: to stop you moving into all I have for you. I need you to begin to stand and say NO. I know you have little strength right now but My strength is made perfect in your weakness. (2 Cor12:9) Look to My strength. Look to who I am. I am your Creator, your Ruler, your Redeemer, your Lover.

I have the answer to every situation for I see it all. I see every aspect, every nuance, for I know your every thought, your every move. (Ps139:1-12)
I see the big picture. There is always hope even when you see none.

Faith, Hope, Love. These remain when all is gone.
“Three things will last forever – faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love.”
(1 Cor13:13 NLT)

If you keep your eyes on Me, your hope in Me, you will not be disappointed. I have a way through this situation that you would never ever dream of, for My ways are greater, higher than yours. Trust Me and move on from the lies of the enemy. I will heal your heart.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” (Ps 42:11 NIV)

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)
