Live in Grace

How often do we take God’s immense gift of grace casually and flippantly? Marian Dyer reminds us today that God’s grace is a very precious gift of His outstanding love – not to be taken lightly. Ed.

When you are consumed by whether you have ‘got it right’ or ‘made the right choice’, you are not living in the Grace I have provided for you.

I see how hard you try to do the right thing; to hear My voice. I see you struggle with the choices before you.

So much of your worry about life and day-to-day events is because you have taken your eyes off Me and put them on yourself; your ability, not Mine.

Remember the fountain of Grace. It is always pouring. There are no droughts to dry it up, no running out of the Water of Life. Yes, it is an amazing gift of My love for you.

For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ!
Ephesians 2:8 TPT (Emphasis mine)

Grace is not a free ticket for licentiousness. (See Romans 6). Grace is poured out that you might live in freedom, knowing that despite your inadequacy, despite your sinfulness, despite your mistakes, I see your heart to follow Me and I cover you with My Grace.

Live in that.

‘It’s true that many died because of one man’s transgression, but how much greater will God’s grace and his gracious gift of acceptance overflow to many because of what one man, Jesus, the Messiah, did for us! And this free-flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned. For because of one transgression, we are all facing a death sentence with a verdict of “Guilty!” But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God—acquitted with the words “Not guilty!” ‘

Romans 5:15 -16 TPT (Emphasis mine)
