“I sing praises to Your name O Lord”
“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done” (Ps. 9:1)
As you praise, your heart is set free. You are lifted beyond your own circumstances into a place where I can reach you. Praise is the power of heaven. Have you ever thought about what that really means?
My power is made available to you and released into your life through praise. You have accessed My throne room through the sacrifice of praise. Power increases as you praise, for you touch My essence. Angels’ praise and their power increases. It’s like a heavenly high so they can’t stop praising.
When your batteries are low, begin to praise and you will see the change as life begins to surge back into you. You see, you touch My light. You touch Me when you praise Me. You release the power of heaven. You are joining with a myriad of angels and you touch the power of heaven.
This is what happened when Paul and Silas were in prison. As they praised in the midst of their pain, their chains, along with everyone else’s, fell off.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose (Acts 16:25-26).
Can you imagine? Murderers and robbers as well as those unjustly imprisoned – all were set free. And yet not one ran away. They all stayed. There is a power that comes when you praise amid your difficult circumstances. You, as well as others, will be touched and set free. This is a mystery to you, but I am opening the mysteries of heaven for you to see and share.
Praise breaks through the barrier that Satan has put around the earth. Look at Jericho… look at the power of the shout that brought down those walls. Hallel! It was a shout of praise that broke down those walls… The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!” (Jos. 6:16).
Likewise, as you praise, walls are broken down in the spirit realm. Demons must flee – they must back off at the sound of My Name.
Because you don’t see the sound waves, you are not aware of what is happening constantly around you. There is a bombardment of sound waves. This is where the sound of negative words and curses, the screams of abuse, pain, torture and hopelessness, the words and shouts of arrogance and war, the cries, tears and sobs of the brokenhearted, and the sounds of the inner screams that can’t be uttered – is happening all around you. Sometimes this is what affects you when you are feeling down, and you don’t know why. There is an oppression coming from the sounds around you.
That is why I say “Praise!” “Praise My Name!” “Lift My Name high!” As you praise, demons flee. As you praise, the sound waves about you change. It disrupts the waves of negativity and opens a pathway to heaven’s doors.
It allows My light, My life and My power to pour through and change the circumstances. It sets prisoners free and breaks down mighty walls. It allows My people to plunder the enemy’s camp. The enemy has no defense against the praises of My people. Praise is an exceedingly powerful weapon!
I want you to know what is really happening when you sing and shout My praises. It changes from being something you just mouth without knowledge or understanding, from something you do by rote without engaging your heart, to the knowledge you are wielding a mighty weapon that cuts a swathe through the works and oppression of the enemy.
You can touch my power!
You can access my power!
You can bring it to bear on situations that you encounter here on earth!
I am with you.
